I bought a Polaris waterproof jacket mainly because i liked the orange colour.

It was great until it rained. Took it back and got a refund on the grounds a "waterproof" jacket should at least keep some of the rain out.

Bought an Endura Gridlock for not much more money and its really good . But not in orange unfortunately

I bought the Niteride 2 jersey from a cycling promotions sale for about £32 and find it excellent, its my main winter jersey and only wear a thin Campri base layer top underneath and bib tights and that is enough to keep me warm down to 0.5c with max speeds up to 31mph according to my records. It is the type of item that I would buy another of if I see it for the right price so that I would have a spare in case I rip it to pieces in a crash which is the usual demise of my shirts.

I got some Hellfrauds vouchers a few year back and bought a a Polaris long sleeve and short sleeve jersey (both half price). I find the long sleeve a bit too thin of the bike but visa versa on the bike I don't find it breathable enough; it used to do fine for the short journey to work though. The short sleeve hardly get worn, its a funny material a bit too thick for a summer jersey but being short sleeve its not what I'd want for winter; that and its a medium and I could have done with small.

Some where I've also got a pair of Polaris short which somebody bought me when I first got back into cycling, they fit ok but I can't say I was overly impressed with the pad. On a holiday to Sardinia though I bought a pair of Polaris bib sorts in a bike shop not the greatest of pads again but a vast improvement.
