Going to view a bike later, already asked if there is a receipt - but told it is at his accountants - but he did say that he has a bag of manuels etc that he will did out for me. It's a 2011 model, and 'only used twice'. Should i be worried?
If he's got the manuals etc then probably not. If he is genuine he would not mind you calling the police with the frame number to check if it has been reported stole.
thanks for the reply. I can't help feeling paranoid. If I did purchase it, and it did turn out to be stolen - would that have any consequences for me do you think? It's a mid range model - origninal cost is £450, but being sold for £250.
The consequences for you would be (If it turned out to be stolen) is the bike would be returned to its rightful owner, leaving you out of pocket.
Might be worth phoning and asking for the frame number and checking it with the police. Then when you go to view make sure the frame nmber he told you matches the one on the bike.
