How can anyone treat an animal like that! All that bath activity and there's a goldfish involved. A red one. Poor thing...I wouldn't fancy being in 'his' scales..

:biggrin::
She also mentions a cucumber at one point as well. No idea what that's all about (sheltered life and all that!) Blimey it's hot in here.

At risk of losing any shred of credibility I ever had on here, I used to have a bit of a thing for this lass back in the 80's. She's German apparently. And called Sandra.

Sandra - We'll be together

Also German, Modern Talking were massive in the 80's everywhere except here. No idea why!!

Modern Talking

One of the few Euro hits that sort of made it across the Channel to blighty was Austria's Alphaville and Forever Young.

Thanks Rich P, I've had a thoroughly enjoyable hour or so on this post. I am surprised Kylie hasn't been mentioned, any from youtube will do!

Mairzy Doats - I was thinking about this question on my ride this evening and one of the things that always amuses me (because I didn't 'get it' for a long time - until my late 20s early 30s perhaps)

And loads of once trendy piano music - Mrs Mills, Winifred Atwell...all sorts of stuff, but I'll go with this video of Rich P introducing threefingersmcginty playing 'Side Saddle.' Please excuse their wooden banter and preamble...it's normal for those two

Oh dear, time to unroll the Krautrock.

I really liked Neu! and still do. They're really not my kind of of thing, but blinkin' flip, I'm a sucker for a bit of, Motorik...

Yeah, but krautrock is hardly a 'guilty pleasure', is it? Critically acclaimed, more like. I love Can, Neu, Faust et al.

That just what I thought when I read Uncle Mort's post and was going to reply along the same lines but you beat me to it.
It appears that you have impeccable musical taste as well Flying Monkey, perhaps we are related.

Back to the OP, the last time this type of thread occured I owned up to liking this:

and still get guilty pleasure out of it.

I'm guessing Nena doesn't qualify as Krautrock then ...........

PS somewhere in my loft I've got Faust's So far/ it's a bit of pain on a 45 rpm single. Bought in 1972 (or 73?). Haven't got a record player now

Oh, dear!

Well krautrock's hardly a guilty pleasure but there's a limit to how much monotonous drumming and guitar noodling I can take - I quite like that one though.

Give Outside The Dream Syndicate by Tony Conrad with Faust a go Uncle Mort, see how you get on with that, plenty of monotonous drumming only with much viola noodling instead of guitars. I like it.

So, Dellzeqq, if I admit to having listened to that in the c*r this afternoon, do I go further down or up in your estimation?
up. For me it's memories of three day car drives, feet up on the dash, joints and beer being passed around through the night, before tumbling in to a truck stop at six in the morning for serious pancake stacks.
