ditto - i use it on tour - when it rains a bit of WD40 to clean the crud off - followed by a sparing application of finishline wet in the evening or later in the day
Get some decent chain lube, and Mickle every few weeks / months.
Does it not pick up loads of dirt and turn into grinding paste?

you could even , theoretically for a few minutes at least, cycle on the firewood
+1 Since the beginning of the year I have been using chainsaw oil and like it a lot so far.nope it has a anti pick up content , well thats what it says on the tin. if you mickle it properly then there isn't a lot of oil anyway
