Merlin seem quite cheap

It would be interesting to see a complete list of groupset weights. From the very best spec to the worst spec of each manufacturer. For example, none of the lists include Shimano's Sora or Claris groupsets.

It would also be interesting to see gram/£ for each groupset. I brief calculation using @RecordAceFromNew's link but it would be interesting to see a complete table for all groupsets.

Even better would be a comparison based on rational mass or actual moments of inertia :-)

SRAM RIval cost me £451 as separates (I couldn't use the brakes in the full set so have Shimano long drops)...less whatever Wiggle and co gave me back via Quidco

On a groupset? The differences would be minimal because of the small changes in mass combined with the short distances. Secondly, rotational inertia = Mass.Radius^2 - Since the radius' should be approximately the same between groupsets, it just results being a magnitude larger than the mass. Thirdly, even if you did calculate it, what would you do with the values? Would they mean anything to you as a cyclist? lol.

Not necessarily a magnitude if construction methods are different, but yes totally pointless with the values, I'm just a geek lol :-)
