I did my hill climb practice route around the Dollar/Blairingone/Powmill area.

They seemed to be hanging about in sheltered areas just waiting for the passing cyclist.

At least greenfly are easy to swallow on the go......try them big hairy bluebottle buggers..........quite crunchy hmmmmmm

that's right, when times are good they employ a type of asexual reproduction called parthenogenesis. so like you say, mother gives birth to daughter who already has grandaughter inside her. all like little clones and all female. they do mix it up a little (genetically speaking) too, with a little sexual reproduction. great creatures i reckon.

Only way to avoid eating them is to ride with your mouth shut - A scarf/buff in this weather will make you too damn hot
