hmm.... you sure when he said 'a bit hard' he didnt' meant he had to stop about 17 times.
my car can JUST get up it in 2nd with just me in, with my mate in and two bikes on the back i have to go in 1st!
it's well steep
on the mtb though the best way up is the borked road. quite fun once i was chasing a roadie up there, he was going faster but he had to stop and push over all the borked bits, so i gained on him
if you want one even steeper try mortimer road, over strines moor.
1 in 4s on that (which would be climbs in a northerly direction, but the other side of the cloughs are almost as steep). if you rode the whole of that road on a fixed you would be LITERALLY borked by the end.
