I had a neighbour who would cut his grass on the first warm day after Christmas and as often as he could until Easter and then he would reseed - he never got the connection. I don't think his grass got beyond puberty before he was fertilizing and scratching about de-dandelioning and encouraging it to grow so that he could cut it down. He sniggered at me one day when I was mincing down the garden path fully Lycra'd pushing my bike and it was all I could do to hold my tongue and I spent my entire ride thinking about collecting weed seeds but I never did.

I leave mine a bit long over winter- less mud and worm casts to deal with and although grass is very hardy it can suffer in a bad winter. I guess it has just been really mild so far (well it has here in the south- really not a day below zero as yet, just rain and more rain!).

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I have a lot of grass and it is growing like mad. However, it is far to wet to even think of cutting it. We have a ride on mower and it would sink due to how wet it is. I won't cut the geass until I have to. Maybe April
