Needed to make a late start as we need to drive from Lincolnshire first

Does anyone know how it compares to Snake Pass/Winnats Pass/Holme Moss?

Never ridden any of these but just had a look Ditchling looks like about 550ft over 1.6 miles compared with Snake from Glossop direction is 1100 ft over 3.7 miles.

Can't remember the last time I 'had' to stop on a hill! Is Ditchling steep/long?

Skol, hills are only ever about 10% as difficult as the majority of CC posters portray them as.

Were thinking taking 2-3 days to ride down then back again

I wouldnt worry about it anyway. You hit it at the wrong time and the shere amount of people walking puts paid to anyone riding up.
