I got on pretty well with the Electron halogen 5+10W pair for two winters, but they've been retired and it's now AY-UP lights for me !

Had them on for over a week now since it's still not quite sunrise any more at 6am when I set out to work. Considering that it's not really 'winter darkness' yet, I can't say just how good they are in those conditions - but they do get me seen, and they're lighting up reflective signs that are quite some distance ahead.

They've also been on when I go home, since it's dull and overcast most nights so the extra visibility they give me means people are less like to pull out having not seen me...;)

The Azerbaijan Youth Union for Peace and Security?

Mr Pig, I am intrigued as to why you mentioned Azerbaijan rather than say a more well known country beginning with an A such as Austria / Australia.

It is an area that I know quite well have been there on 4 ocassions however finding anyone else who who has even heard of the country let alone know where it is is very rare.

Are they made in Yorkshire?

Designed by or created by a Yorkshireman in Australia, I think.

Oh yes, I still manage to do that!!
Less than a week to go before I get the Dionette tail light!
Then when I shine it in my eyes I'll get green spots!!

I'm also waiting for a Dinotte tail light to arrive!
I've previously limited my night time riding to the city. But this winter I will be doing a fair bit of country lane riding so I decided it was worth investing in some serious lighting. Can't wait to see it!

Great minds think alike, obviously!

I got sick of recharging AAA batteries that then get used in other things and cracked old plastic LEDs that you hoped drivers could see.
I have gone for lights with dedicated power supplies that leave no doubt as to my presence and what lays on the road ahead.
I mostly ride in London and the Ay Yups pick out the road in sharp relief under sodium street lamps.

I'll also be using them for rides in Ireland where there is no road lighting.

I'm a bit dissapointed that Ay Yup don't do a rear lamp.

I know. So tiny that I managed to lose mine for a couple of weeks in the house. It got me all of a sweat.

For heavens sake Man, what's all them neoprene pouches and rolls for!?

I'm lucky in having a rack in the hall for coats, shoes, helmets bags etc. so when the lights aren't on the bikes they get put away safe.
