Decent rolling, decent puncture protection...NOT Marathon +
Up to around £25 a tyre

If you want the Hutchinson Urban Tours that I'm about to take off Old Reliable to replace them with the Vittoria Rubino Pro's you sold me, you can have them gratis.

They're 32c, roll ok and have plenty of life in them.

Vittoria Randonneurs in that flavour last ages on my Revolt and have a reflective sidewall. I just picked several little bits of glass out of mine which had been stopped by the puncture protection belt.

I will second the Vittoria Randonneur recommendation. Swapped out some puncture plagued Conti rubbish that had too many punctures in 400 miles and have since done more than 600 puncture free miles on the 32c Randonneurs. I went for the folding Pro version as they are a bit lighter (but around twice the price). I love the way they roll and handle and also look great IMO.

Only downside I can find is that due to several rough off-road trips the reflective strip started tearing and peeling so I have removed them completely. No damage to the tyre though so they appear to be tough as old boots so far :okay:.

When I buy my next set (I will be fitting them to the commuter in 35c size when the time comes) I will be seeking the black version without reflector if available.

Anyone familiar with Durano performance, not as heavy as the Randonneurs, only £3 more

The CRC reviews are positive with regards punctures
I have these in 23mm and 25mm flavours on two or my bikes and Mrs SG users them, again in 25mm, on her commuter. Only one puncture between us on several thousand miles.

My son got two punctures on his 23mm ones on L2P last year but they differed in the fact they were two colour ones (black and red) and both punctures occurred at the junction between the different colours. He switched to all black and had no issues since.

I've got some gatorskins to go on the Genesis when the Rubinos die. How do they fare in all weathers, seem to be a little marmite (and how do they compare to Duranos which are rather cheaper). I'm tempted by the Duranos based on @User33236 feedback

Hmm toss up between the Vittorias and Duranos - the latter are 200g lighter per tyre, but the Vittorias might look better on the Boardman

A few members suggest that they are poor in the wet but in my experience I've never had any complaints. Great puncture protection, good rolling resistance and fantastic longevity (in excess of 8000 miles ime).
