Gold mudguards?

Don't know where you'll get gold mudguards, though.

I do, now!

Thanks to the bottomless pit that is Cyclemagic's store room, I now have a pair. Ok, they are a pair of rear ones, but I reckon it'll be easy enough to cut the damaged one down to make a front, and I have all the fittings I need on the old mudguard. So thanks to Roger and Simon for rummaging for me!

I won't be going quite as gold as Randochap's bar tape and saddle (although I think my honey Brooks is going to look good!) or redjedi's suggestion, so I think the gold guards will be just right. Just need to give the lug lining a second coat, and get Andy at Bikerescue to lacquer it for me, and I can start building it up.

Update - I had a pair of rear gold 'guards, on slightly broken - with the help of a hacksaw, some sandpaper and the removeable stays from the old silver 'guard, I now have a pair, front and rear, of the gold ones. Hoorah!

Now, I have the honey Brooks. Just thinking about a leather mudflap, and leather grips.... And a birthday coming up...
