Any good (fingerless) gloves recommendations please? Or even just what to look for.

Budget not a particular issue but I like good value and things that both work and last.

I am baffled by the choice!

Thanks in advance.

Buy some that fit and have as little stitching as possible, especially around the thumb

I wouldn't buy Pearl Izumi again, even though most of their clothing is top notch

I'd go to a bike shop and try some on and buy the most comfy ones

Ta for replies.

Toddled off to Evans for a try-on session. Just as well, if I had ordered online I would have gone for Large - I needed Extra Large.

Got these:

On offer, fit nice and worked well on my ride this afternoon.

They had a more thickly padded gel model also on offer but it felt too thick - Evans staff very helpful; they set the turbo-trainer up for me to try out my gloves!

Aldi.

Waste of time spending money on expensive mitts.

My Specialized BG mitts seem to be lasting pretty well. The Endura mitts that they replaced started falling apart within three weeks of purchase.

Or Lidl.
80% of my gloves are either from Aldi or Lidl. They are very comfy and do the job nicely. Added bonus they are cheap enough not to bother you so much when you get chain oil all over them or forget one somewhere. I find gloves can be a bit like socks in that respect.
