I need distance glasses, they are not a strong prescription but I need them. I have some very nice Ray Bans I use in the car but the arms get pushed away from my eyes when I put on my helmet on for riding, they feel strange and I get dust and what not in my eyes, I have some old Adidas wrap around things but I can't get on with the double glazing prescription inserts. What I need are straight thin arms to slide under the helmet straps, with wrap around prescription lenses. Anyone any suggestions?

I had the same problem and i brought these a few years ago. Plus points are they have 4 lenses from clear to dark for varying light conditions, cheap and the prescription lense is replaceable if your prescription changes meaning you don't need to buy a complete new set.

These look close to what I was looking for - how long did your order take and do you know if they're still selling? I emailed them some time ago with a query I needed answering before ordering and they never got back to me.

Your problem is that you are putting the arms under your helmet straps. This is a big style faux-pas, no serious cyclist does this; the arms must go OUTSIDE the straps.

But yes, the wraparound style will keep the wind and dust out of your eyes. Ask your optician to make you up some Shopic frames with reactolite lenses.

I know when i ordered mine they arrived within a few days. One point i forgot to mention though. These are wrap around glasses and not sure if it was due to my prescription but when i first tried them i felt like i was about 8ft tall when on the bike. I emailed the company who said they had only had a few people who this had happened too but if i wanted a full refund that wouldn't be a problem. After a couple rides though I got used to it and now don't even notice it.

I have flexon glasses and they go under the straps ok on my helmet. I think it's more to do with how big the frames legs are. I keep them under the straps "Faux pas" or not, it's good to have them feeling pretty secure.

That linked site for the prescription sun glasses is really handy to know, as I would prefer to have something better suited for cycling and just allow me a better range of view with the bigger lense aera.
