Yeah, racing rain capes won't deal with that volume of water. It looks like the sort of downpour where tourers with mudguards, waterproof boots and full rain cape hide under cover for a bit, then get a train to the next rest town!
I really hope the mechanics have fitted the grippiest tyres they have, else one of those descents could change everything.
It's worth going off the front to get less spray, better sight of the corners and work harder to get warm. Terrible weather.

So Ineos has four riders in the top ten. Jay Vine lost 11 mins to Almeida today so we can safely say he's out of the GC running and Vlasov pulled out so that leaves Lenny Kamna to take over leader duties at Bora.
