Surely someone has expressed the size of the asteroid in London bus units?

No not this time, they have used the universal measurement of football pitches.

But I am not interested in football so I don't know how big a pitch is where as I do know how big a bus is:sad:.

Quite. Furthermore, football pitch is a unit of area, whereas the asteroid is clearly three-dimensional, so we need a unit of volume.

The object, known as 2009 DD45, is as large as 250 Ford Fiestas or 5.5m International SCE*

*Stella Can Equivalents

Can you imagine if we were bombarded by a load of old ford fiestas and empty stella cans? Serve us right for being so damn untidy and wasteful if you ask me.

Isn't Luxembourg often used as a unit of size?

What we really need is the volume measured thusly:- Nelson's Columns x London buses x football pitches. Weight will, of course, be expressed in adult elephants. Now all we need is a measure for density. ;)
