Hey all,
I use a land rover mountain bike around town but am getting fed up of the front suspension, it's annoying plus the wheels on the thing are way too big and bulky,
I'm looking to buy and replace the front forks so i guess this may be a daft question but do they all come in the same size? the bike is a 21 inch frame if that helps, or does any one know of a decent place to buy front forks?
plus on the wheels do i need new wheels or just new tyres? i'm trying to get it looking like a hybrid more than a mountain bike.
Any advice gratefully appreciated,
Andy.

A rigid fork is a good upgrade for an MTB that only gets used in town. Ask around for forks at local bike shops; they usually have a few unwanted forks knocking around. Alternatively get a super smooth carbon fork from here: http://www.carboncycles.cc/ You will need to get a fork that's roughly the right length for the frame geometry, probably an 80mm "compensated" fork will be right.

The biggest difference will be made by fitting narrower smother tyres, a road slick will make your MTB fly and you'll be racing roadies. Get a track pump (Topeak Joe Blow) and blow them up to their maximum pressure.
