Gearing: How close is 24 teeth front/28 teeth back to a 44 front/46 back? (edited title)

Is the 44 chain ring a typo... should that be 34?

Ah, that's it @Lovacott - it's an 11-46 cassette not 42... it did seem odd that a hybrid bike should have higher than 1:1 for the easiest gear selection

Just checked again. Yes, I've got the cassette size wrong.

Looks better now that way around.

Corrected gear ratios with 44t chainring 11-46 cass is 25.40". Triple still has it.
