Defo get a mech guy you can trust, a lot of the mobile guys are good as they don't have the overheads and will let you source the gear! I agree with louche to get someone to ensure all is well, one of the guys in halfords was ok and I ensured he set it up with me there!
To give you an idea, on an 11-25 I really struggled on most hills, today I got up the cat and fiddle climb that is way up there in the top 100 climbs in the UK! I went at a very slow pace but just getting up there and taking in that view was well worth the effort, imposs for me to have done that on an 11-25 at the mo. I posted a picture of me in a dodgy top on my twitter account to show off! @Mickthemove

Hi guys, Louch yes already done that I had a nightmare with the bike initially chain snapped after 30 miles, Ive now got it sorted, it also needed a new gear cable. Love the bike but Halfords set up is SHOCKING!!!

Went up some hills today - was tough going but just made it - think I may try and get fitter before I look to change the cassette. Thanks for your comments Mick.

Did this today http://www.strava.com/activities/80655671 Think I just need to man up and go looking for hills!!!

Thanks again for your help
