Gear adjustment trouble need help?

So I’ve been trying to adjust my gears that are on the left side of the handle bars 1,2,3 for a triple chain set.
I noticed when I twist into 1 that I still have more cable left when twisting forward below 1 if that makes sense. How do I make the clicks line up with my numbers 1,2 and 3?

This is a good video explaining setting up front shifting. Sounds like your limit screws need adjusting slightly.
