Garming connect not working **help***

Hi all

Im having lots of issues with connecting my Garmin to Garmin Connect and also saving courses.

Starting with what should be the simpliest thing to do: I send course to my 810 it says it was successfully sent but when I check in the Courses folder in my 810 it says there are no courses :cursing:
Do I need a memory card or can I use the internal memory

I am also no longer able to pair my 910xt to Garmin Connect to save activities...the Ant Agent cant no loner "see/speak" with my 910.
Im on an older Mac 10.6.8

It all started since downloading the Garmin Express, so I thought there may be a conflict, deleted everything and reinstalled ant agent / communicator plugin etc etc (not g.express though) but still nothing. :cursing::cursing::cursing:

So so frustrated...wanted to go for a nice ride and got all worked up about these issues.

If anyone can help till the service desk is open on Monday that would be great :-)

Thank you

Hi,

They are in the middle of updating Garmin connect and that includes the associated apps and the firmware on the devices.

Have you checked for the latest firmware for your 810 ? My 510 got an update a couple of days ago, plus the garmin connect smartphone app has been updated at least twice in the last few days.

As regards ant agent, I'm positive that I read somewhere they were replacing it with an all in one uploader but I can't seem to find the reference now. It may be worth looking deeper into that as they might have switched ant agent uploading off.

The garmin forum people are usually pretty helpful too so it's worth asking there.

Cheers,

Kev.

thanks Kev, yes Garmin Express it prompted me to update the 810 which I did. I understand that they are replacing it with the all in one but at the moment I cant get anything to work

Do you know if I definitely need a memory card to save the courses or can I save some on the internal memory?

I'm sorry I don't know, I don't have an 810 although now I'm exploring the local countryside a bit more and would find the mapping useful, I'm starting to wish I had sprung the extra for one.

Sack Garmin Connect off, it is absolutelly shite! Use any other site that lets you plot, then download the file as GPS TRACK. Plug the Garmin in, access it like a generic USB device, go into the folder Garmin > New Files and drop the file in there. Unplug the Garmin, turn it on then look in the courses menu, there is your course!
