I really like my Garmin Edge 1000, as it's opened up a whole load of new routes for me that I wouldn't otherwise have discovered (without a SatNav). I also have it setup so it uploads my rides automatically to Strava.

My 800 is ok but frustrating (as gadgets often are for me), I wouldn't really want to rely on the mapping if I got lost!

I have the Garmin Touring great for on and off road riding/walking as it shows most paths, but go and have a look before you buy, better if you can see one working why they have a small screen, it's OK, but it is on the small side if I were to buy again I would like something bigger.

Write down a list of what you need
Write down a list of what you would like
Write down a list of what you do not need

Then look at the comparison charts to see which one fits your list best

I bought the 800 with OS mapping. I don't use it for turn by turn directions but as a waterproof map with no folds in the wrong place, that handily points out where I am and where I've been (not that I ever get lost...)

IMHO, the OS maps were worth every penny and I'd definitely buy it again.

Had my 200 since Moses still wore short trousers. Its been been a tough, reliable device that does the basic bike computer job and records rides.

I've had nothing but problems with my Garmin Edge 20 (2nd replacement and now out of warranty) random crashes and freezes. I personally will not buy Garmin again.

Ok thank you guys I was going to Halfords to get it but think I'll look into a better one is garmin the way forward or is there anything else I could look at I don't want to spend a furtune :bicycle:
Wahoo range

@Handlebar Don't think the 2** Garmin have turn by turn mapping if that's what you want. I think only a breadcrumb trail for a pre planned route, which may or may not be what you mean by mapping
