Garmin vs Strava calorie count

@Sixmile, whilst it'd be just as wrong, if you added that additional weight for those rides (create a really heavy bike in strava?) It'd increase the calorie burn.

I think you can "fiddle" the calorie count on the garmin by telling it how many times a week you exercise. I think this puts a coefficient *(Fiddle Factor) into the equation to calculate energy. But work on 400 calories/hour as a base unless you are racing
 
Despite claims otherwise all of these systems have faults and inaccuracies
No matter what system you use this will be tha case

Best "advice" is to choose a system,use it to set your baseline and then improve on this
