Invested in the set from Wiggle, slightly puzzled over the instructions as it tells you to mount them on the bike but then to link a sensor to the Garmin ensuring all other sensors are some distance away.
That is so you don't wake them up and have them within range. Fairly standard advice for ANT+ devices

Looking at them I'll stick with the old one !! I use those supermagnets on the end of my pedal axel rather than the clip on garmin ones, much neater.

The Garmin thingy is a ugly blob on the chain stay, but I am not putting those two on polished alloy Dura Ace hubs/cranks. I like seeing my shiny hubs and cranks.
Yeah the GSC10 is an ugly blob on the seatstay that's made of cheese and often doesn't work once it gets wet

So you mount one of them, link it with the Garmin, remove it and mount the other one to link with the Garmin and then refit the first one?
No. ANT+ devices each have a unique ID, if there are similar devices broadcasting within range they will also show during the pairing process. You can also pair via manually entering the ANT+ ID number which is usually stamped on the back.

Think: middle of a race bunch and your HRM isn't paired so you search and find 34 different straps, which one is yours?

Linked up okay with both on the bike at the same time and the Edge set to Speed and Cadence. Pity Garmins instructions are woeful, the Edge 500 obviously predates the magnetic less set but the instructions with them tell you to look at the computers manual.
