Not really. Whenever you stop for a break, stick the Garmin on charge and put it in a bag/pocket. Keeps it topped up.

I sealed the USB cable connector from the Powerbank to the Garmin with silicon sealant to deter rain ingress.

Did a 114 mile ride yesterday with screen on data page and routing on so directions popped up and I had about 20 % left when I got home after about 8 hours being constantly on ,7 hours riding
