On sale from £199 to £139. Good deal or snot so good ?
I've got one and they're excellent.
Bear in mind though that the basic touring won't support heart rate or cadence sensors, and lacks the "training" modes of the 800+ units.
If you just need it for ride recording and navigation though it works perfectly (once set up Correctly)
seems the touring is well suitedHaving spent 30 minutes trying to work out how to put a GPX file onto a colleague's Edge Touring for him - Garmin's own manual doesn't tell you, and the advice online doesn't seem to work - I suspect it's a bit like most of Garmin's other kit. They're very good at hardware, good at on-unit software and lousy at software to connect the hardware to the rest of the world.
Is the pre loaded Europe map good on the touring
I really wish it was compatible with the cadence and heart rate though! Not sure if I want to buy one and use it with my 500 or just get a 810.
