They are about the best lock out there - yellow and black one. Keep it if you want to keep your bike Heavy for a reason Get a cable for the unsecured bits, like your front wheel

Its not the breaking it, its the extra weight on the bike I am worried about. I have a cheap cable lock I have been using, seems I have gone to the other end of the scale now

I don't quite follow, are you worried the weight of the lock will damage the bike?! The point is that good strong locks are heavy. If you are not going to leave the bike, leave the lock at home.
