Garmin bundles ?

Iv decided to treat myself and purchase a garmin 800. But I'm confused on the different bundles that come with it. If I remember correct there are trail, performance and navigation bundles, or I can get one without. What do these bundles mean and are they necessary ?
Any help would be most appreciated

Might buy just the unit then buy the sd card on ebay. That should work shouldn't it ?

Just this minute ordered the 800 (unit only) myself. I don't need heart rate monitor or cadence sensor.
I researched it a bit on the net and it looks quite a nifty bit of kit. I also ordered the "out in front" holder.

Yeah I don't like the stem mounted holder. So I suspect you won't get the mapping with that @Roadrider48 .The SD cards on ebay going for cheapness.

Open source maps or torrent sites

Looking forward to it mate. Thanks for the heads up on sd cards. I've been using a wireless cateye and to be fair it's been good. But I fancied something better with gps and more functionality.

Good point that. But most torrent sites are closed now aren't they? I used to D/L loads of films and music but they've really tightened up on the copyright thing now.

They weren't closed when I got 2014 Euro maps But in the interest of remaining able to post and not getting @Shaun into trouble.

Not that I use them but most torrent sites are still active and are only unavailable due to your ISP blocking most addresses. Most are still available if a proxy site is used to mask you trail. like http://come.in
I do not use, but I am aware as I work in the IT field.

I purchased the 800 Performance bundle which comes with the permium heart monitor and the speed and candence sensor, unlike the 800 performance and navigation bundle which also has the maps as well.

You don't need a torrent site for the maps. There are plenty of places for open source maps. The wiki page is a good start. Talkitoaster & dc rainmaker too.

Do you know why a torrent site would be used?
