How are you getting on with the Garmin 520?

I don't have a Garmin at the moment and tempted to buy the bundle with Cadence and HR monitor to hopefully help me focus my training as well as providing me with a better (IMO) interface than my phone which I use at the moment

PS what Tacx trainer do you have ? I was thinking about one of those for the winter months too!! £££££££ arghh!

Only managed to get 1 ride in and a brief Turbo trial. Really pleased with it tbh. 510 is good, but this is so much better. Just feels slicker and faster running, with menu design and layout better. Thought iWork's miss the touch screen, but prefer the directness of the buttons. Had never used a HRM before, but I think it's going to be a great tool for training. Cadence sensor has got me through the past 2 years and would recommend to anyone looking to focus on specific aspects of their riding.

I have the Tacx Vortex Smart. Great bit of kit but, from my initial Turbo short trial, it is laggy and a lot harder than the same ride on the road when following a previous activity.

Thanks bp. A few people have suggested that they'd miss the touch screen from their 510/800/810/1000 but I think it's just a matter of getting used to it being buttons rather than screen.

Good summary and feedback. Now, do I just press the buy button! (Not helped by wiggle having a good offer on at present!)

Thanks re the turbo trainer too - good food for thought.
