After purchasing my Garmin performance pack with HR/Speed+cadence sensors I bean to use them when out. However, after a couple of rides the cadence sensor has stopped working. The speed sensor is still picking up the magnet on the rear wheel, but not the magnet attached to my crank.

Any suggestions?

Mine did the same, and after much faffing it was a simple case of the sensor being knocked so was too far away from the crank magnet.

I've checked, and when hitting the reset button, which alos allows you to check if the sensors are working, I get both LED colours flashing, which should show it's working correctly

You haven't added a 2nd bike to the Garmin have you? I use the same 'head' unit on all 3 of my bikes, 2 of which use a GSC10 speed/cad sensor. I must select the correct bike or it will not pick up the sensor.

No, just the one steed. I have a feeling I may be contacting Garmin

If you're getting both led's it must be on the device. Are you positive the speed sensor is still working. I'm presuming you span the wheel whilst stationary and it displayed a speed ?

Have you by any chance upgraded firmware ? I've had odd problems and had to re pair my sensors after upgrading my 510

I was told to remove the speed sensor / magnet from my wheel when I got a Garmin as the Garmin does the speed itself . Maybe the extra magnet is putting a spanner in the works ? worth a try as you shouldn't need it .

Well if you ride without it you will see the speed displayed to be less smooth, particularly when accelerating or decelerating.

There's no reason to go without it if you have it.
