Anyone on Linux? Will the "modern" be supported? I think my Garmin may be going on Ebay!
With the 200 you can just use as a USB drive connection, drop new courses into Newfiles and drag activities from the activity folder. Simple and full supported under Linux.

OK i didn't know you could do that. I have dropped courses in, but never taken out activities.
Thanks I will give it a go

Update:-

Well I got a message saying Classic will end at the end of the year. I have tried building a virtual Windows7 machine in virtual box, but the Garmin app will not load.
If I can't get this working, I will be dropping the files directly into Strava.
Has any using Linux, got the modern working?

I'm using a Win7 virtual machine on Mint, but I'm using BaseCamp and I don't use strava.

Well I got it working, but this new Garmin app is rubbish. I get some strange page about gear, segments and a lot of other nonsense. It is not particularly easy to find what I want ie my rides. I suppose I would get used to it, but not sure I can be bothered.
I have not seen Basecamp (until I just Googled it). I will wait until they cease it and then go directly to Strava.
