Only been cycling a little while and a few mates of mine and the misses are taking the piss because I have been and got a full sky cycling kit bib and top and they are saying think I will looks like twat....

What you where ? And what you think ??
 
I do nt wear team kits .... as a rule
But if you enjoy it .. so be !
If you wear the same clothing as the pros Do .. You Should be trying to match there speed on the road ... :rolleyes:

Like most specialized clothing it looks rubbish off the bike [try walking around in m/cycle leathers on a hot day if you REALLY want to feel bad] but on the bike it makes sense. Anyhow - you might not go any faster but you will feel like you are, and that's all part of the fun [that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it so there !].

The rule that trumps all others is wear what you like.

You will look better in team kit if you have the physique - and colour of bike - to match.

You wouldn't catch me advertising a Murdoch company, much less paying for the privilege. Sky should be paying you.

So yes I think you will look like a twat. It's up to you whether you give a toss what people like me think.

More then a few good riders in this group - not me though, I took the photo and wearing my old anorak probably.
