Yup me too - fulcrums sold for what I paid, Eastons on order.

I'm sure the fulcrums are perfectly fine wheels, I'm just not prepared to be struggling with tyres when I'm tired/soaked/a long way from home/all of the above.

Ha ha! you sold them to me! I'm sure I'll be struggling with them for a bit too... Still, the rider is only 10 years old and hopefully only using them on circuits, so the dreaded p*n*t*r*s 'hopefully' won't be too much of an issue 10 miles from home :wahhey:.

Not sure I'll be fitting the nice Vittoria Diamante Pro Lights though... might be too much of struggle.

Enjoy your Eastons, looking forward to receiving the Fulcrums.

Alastair, they're fine wheels and you may have no problems with tyres at all. For the sake of an extra few quid I'm just not prepared to risk it. Really hope your lad goes well on them.

If the LBS gets my Eastons today I may be able to get the fulcrums in the post this afternoon, in which case you should have them tomorrow.

Cheers Mark - they're going to be great for him. If you could send today that would be Ab Fab!

I have heard that part of the problem is the stock plastic rimtape, and that a nice set of Velox fabric tape eases the process somewhat, so I might give that a go. Anyway, he's not allowed to p*ncture, so it shouldn't be a problem

Which Eastons you going for?

It's just a pair of EA50's. I looked at the 70's but I don't suppose I'd notice the difference.

Sorry to be such a tart but the Easton's will match the bike a lot better than the fulcrums do (didn't...) as the fulcrums are the silver ones (you never asked, hope silver is ok....)

Silver?!?!?!

that's fine
They're going on a black/red/silver Raleigh AirLite Team Carbon and will look (and ride) rather yummy!

EA50's or EA50 SL's - both very nice - enjoy!

I'm ignoring that post...

Alastair, the fulcrums are in the post this afternoon. Hope you get them tomorrow. Be aware, the skewers are packed separately in a Deda box so don't throw it away...

Best of luck with them.
