There's more. Spanish authorities open partial criminal investigation of people exposed in Pharmstrong-gate

Which, with the state backed destruction of evidence of blood from other sports, looks very much like a ''let's confine drugs (and investigation) to cycling.''

He had hinted that he might spill the beans in a book. Interesting that the article mentions Los Angeles and Barcelona Olympics. It was 'incredible' at the time when their athletes did so well at the home games especially.
I also remember them (the Spanish) having at least 3 marathon runners in the frame for a few years at the London.

Fuentes is set to reveal his secrets for money. Well if you're going to be unscrupulous, you might as well be thoroughly unscrupulous and make the most of it.

Yep, when you'e already gone to the lowest levels you can be a brazen as you like, nobody would have expected anything else from him TBH. Now more interestingly, which paper will stump up for it....or is this a not so veiled call out to his former "clients" for hush money?

Fuentes really is a piece of work.
... and stupid. I don't think it would be wise for anyone other than the "law" (I know this in unlikely to happen) to go up against some of the other alleged involved parties.

I never understood why the Spanish courts didn't demand that the identities of the bags be revealed as the donors would have been material witnesses in the case against Fuentes.

Yes that is odd, although probably if that was to happen, his clients identities would have had to remain private as what they were doing was not illegal within Spain. Do we know for sure that the judge didn't know the names privately ?

They would have had to give their evidence in private in that case too.
It's an odd contradiction that their names were deemed to have to be withheld as it would have violated their rights, despite the fact that what they did wasn't illegal. Still, it looks like the names may come out one day via the proper authorities or Fuentes kiss and tell!

You know I don't know for sure but since they would have been considered within the legal framework as legitimate patients, I suspect they'd have no choice but to respect patient confidentiality with full privacy.
I wonder if Fuentes were to name names within Spain, might he technically risk being sued for breach of said privacy.
