Which bolt have you sheared Mr Brambles ?
The large headed preload bolt, or the 'grub screws' either side of the crank.
Either way, I can't see how the pin tools will help you.
If you understand the principles of the preload bolt, please disregard the following...
If its the large headed preload bolt, it suggests you may have heavily overtightened it, that bolt only requires 'tightening up' to take up any side float and no more. Once you have 'tightened' it to eliminate any sideways movement of the cranks (and when it's right, it's not tight if that makes sense), you then tighten the two opposing grub screws to lock the preload bolt...and therefore the cranks in place.
If you had tightened the preload bolt to the point of it breaking...even had it not broke, your BB would not have survived long at all, you'd be applying far too much side load to the BB.
