Front shifter

I rode into the back of a parked lorry because I was looking down at a route on my Garmin I broke the housing on my left shifter.
To replace the shifter it will cost £200 (cry), it actually works well the front brake and the paddle moves it just doesn't shift.
Can I buy a Sram Rival one and swap the bits over?

Left hand SRAM shifters are two a penny because the right hand ones break down so much.

here's a new one for £80.
