i need to replace my front mech ,(its a campag front mech on a 105 chainset )and as far as im told campag is a bit narrower (so the chain rubs far easier ),now i could live with this but i had it overshift last weekend with the result that the chain was totally wrapped round the crankset and i couldnt ride it at all and i had to walk a fair bit , so il have to split the chain to get it off reclean and adjust better this time.
Now im thinking it would b a better bet just to get a shimano front mech at the same time and fix the underlying problem
Iv seen a few ultegra mechs on ebay but most are for triple shifters (its going on a compact double)so can i just limit movement by the limit screws?
