front mech problems

hi guys - more help needed...

my chain keeps throwing off when i change from big cog down to small on front compact 50/34

adjusted front mech but still happening please help me lol

i have tweaked it, but when i do it then rubs the chain when in the top rear cog.....gggrrrrrrrr lol

The L screw on the front mech should be set so that there is a gap of less than 1mm between chain and mech when you are on small front large back.

If the chain still falls off when you change onto the small front, get a Deda dog fang. They come in different sizes depending on seat tube diameter.

What Recordace said. If you have the original Shimano instructions which came the bike follow them. If not, you can download them from the Shimano website, just find the mech you have and there should be pdf with setup instructions. Same with other makes too if it's not Shimano.

Agreed. If the chain is coming off either ring then it is a function of the H or L screws. If the chain is struggling to get from one cog to another then it is nearly always cable stretch. A quick tweak of the L screw and you should be fine.i
