Yet another "what's that all about" question.
Riding yesterday, the front mech wouldn't shift the chain on to the big chain ring. Or rather, it would, but as soon as the shift lever returned to the rest position, the mech shifted the chain straight back on to the small chain ring.
If I kept the shifter held right over (i.e. in the shift position) the mech stayed in the right place, but it wouldn't stay there when I let go of the shifter.
Something broken inside the shifter? (Shimano 105).
