Its a newish Spesh Allez 27 sport with about 100-150 miles on it and noticed this last week the chain is struggling to get on to the big front ring

Youtubed for advice on adjusting and found a few videos suggesting the one of the two small screws adjusts in/out

I have tried this and nothing is making the chain go onto the big ring

I have now adjusted the screw back to its original position

Can anyone advise please

Your cable has gone a bit slack which always happens when they are new.

On the L/H side of the downtube you have an adjuster for the front mech. Screw this anti clockwise until the slack has just gone from the cable and all will be well.

The two screws the You Tube vid referred to are the limit screws which prevent the mech overshooting the chainrings. Make sure you have adjusted them back to their original positions by testing the gearshift before you go for a ride.
