Is anyone thinking about cycling back from Sarfend as part of LonJog training? Just wonderin'...

Not doing LonJog, but may be tempted into cycling back. Not keen on super-speedy, but don't want spend half the day getting back. Did a decent route with Pippa, User10571, Adam et al. last year (?) - but I don't remember the middle bit.

OTOH, if the weather is lousy I'll be on the train.

Same here, after southend in December I felt about the freshest I have after a night ride, hence me thinking this is my chance to get a first ride home in... I'm by no means the quickest rider around of course so I'm thinking it'll be more of a plod for me than a scoot. So long as I get back to crypal in time to get a bath and a couple hours kip before the cup final I'll be happy.

Shall we pencil it in and see how we both feel in the morning, ceepeebee? And Mice, I'm sure we'd both love to have your company if we're - I'm - not going too slowly for you (I warn you, I actually got dropped on the last Sunday Morning London ride....)

You'll probably catch up with the SuperSpeedy ride as we backtrack from Ian's roundabout... It's happened before!

For myself, I'm going to be going pretty quick as I want some shuteye before the Cup final starts plus I need some rest before the Brighton run on the Sunday with the old commercials

Enough of that bloody roundabout already.
Last 3 times I have cleared it correctly..

Ok! All to be considered. (I cant believe you were dropped on a Sunday London RIde  - I didnt actually think that was possible and believe me I've given plenty of opportunity to be dropped but those awesome Sunday London Riders wouldnt entertain the thought for a minute - you sure you didnt run away?!). Meanwhile Sarfend.... I might have a look at Metcheck to see what that wind thing is doing. There's a Mouseketeer on holibobs at the moment so I might wait for his return. Lots to think about, lots of options and yes Andrij (hello!) if the weather is lousy I'll definitely be on the train!

Mice :hello:

Hopefully. LBS reckon Lelly will be ready on Thursday. I'm hoping to commute tomorrow on the Giant. The area around my ribs just seems to stiffen up a bit and I'm not sure how it'll handle my commuting backpack yet but tomorrow will tell.

Sounds like a plan, and mr marmoset, you only got dropped because a young soldier grabbed you iirc.

Martin235, were you the Martin I sat having breakfast with last southend run, in the back corner of the caff?

Possibly. I'm useless at names (as well as signposts before Adrian comes along again). I would probably have been in a red jacket and a cap. I'm a bit tall.

I shall be rising back as usual, and not mega fast as I may (shock horror) put the rack and bag on The Blue bike to simulate my LE-LON prologue to LONJOG. So if any of you who don't want to race back want a guide back to the Dartford Crossing and from there in the general direction of That London, I'll see you at breakfast. Rest assured, Ian's roundabout doesn't fool me and I have mastered the Grays One-Way system. So that's all good ;-)
