Friday night music is: Relatives

Bearing mind, I was about 14 in youth clubs listening to rock music and remember Family ...then they effectively disappeared quite quickly. It never occurred to me the band members names, I was too young to be THAT interested...but did really like their songs.
Maybe 10 years later, I was listening to Mike Oldfields Crises album when this voice came over on a track....immediate shock....that has to be the same guy, I knew instantly. A quick bit of investigation let me know it was indeed Roger Chapman of Family

When Rick Grech* died nobody from 'Family' went to his funeral/wake however when Vinho died Roger not only went but even sang for him at the service and said he was the best friend he'd ever had.
As for 'disappearing' Roger went to Germany where he could earn a lot more than trudging round England.

* Rick left Family in the lurch when he joined Blind Faith with Clapton and Steve Winwood, they never forgave him.
