Saw them at the Reading festival '78, bunked in with a bunch of mates, what you did back then for kicks.
Had such a laugh we did the same next night and saw Patti Smith - great memories.
Shame we didn't go the first night, would've seen The Jam

My one and only experience of "festivals" was the Ingliston (near Edinburgh airport) festival 1979. A group of us from Glasgow Nautical College went through for the day. Stupidly did a pub crawl along Rose Street before going to the festival, and spent most of the time sleeping it off on the grass! Apparently Van Morrison was there, as were Squeeze, Talking Heads, and The Undertones.
