Long time ago used to play that LOUD in a bedsit in guildford as i strove to get away from my first post university job (managed that and my return to london pretty quickly - phew)
First track I thought of when I saw the thread title.
But I seem to remember a longer better version with a long monologue/talky bit where he fantasised about a woman living opposite him, before the band then let rip again. Or was that from a John Peel session?
Saw them at Hammersmith Odeon supporting Devo.
remember someone saying that that song is essentially about sex - which of course so many songs are.
see my comment on Sound of the suburbs.
Great track.

Still got my 7" (fnnarr) of Sound of the Suburbs somewhere,
"mum's in the kitchen cooking Sunday dinner, her best meal by far..."
