The BBC banned the song from appearing on Top of the Pops, because of the lyric "cut that little child". That along with lyrics like "what I choose is my choice" and "the killer in me is the killer in you" also led to some controversy. Some read it as a reference to abortion

Controversial in that Judas Priest were sued by the family of James Vance, who had shot himself in a suicide pact with a friend after reportedly drinking, smoking pot and listening to Priest all day.

The case was eventually dismissed
