Probably like many on this forum, my youth was spent listening to Radio 1 on medium wave which made the hearing of lyrics something of a lottery! There are a lot of songs I could mention, but this is for starters. My misheard lyric kind of misses the point of the song, and kills the romantic message of Sam Cooke somewhat.
"Cupid; draw back your bow, and let your arrow go straight THROUGH my lover's heart........"

“A year has passed since I broke my nose"

These are sometimes known as “Mondegreens” - from the traditional Scots song “The Bonnie Earl O’Moray”, which contains the misheard line
"They have slain the Earl o’ Moray and Lady Mondegreen"

which should be
"They have slain the Earl o’ Moray and laid him on the green"
