Rory Gallagher - the only public figure who's death has genuinely saddened me as if it were the personal loss of a friend. All the more odd because I never saw him live. It's just that his music reached me.

John Martyn - a close second.

You are right. He died of lung cancer. I stand corrected. I was wondering when some one would notice :biggrin:.

No one's mentioned the greatest musician Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who died just 35 years young who has got to be up there with Michael Jackson in more ways than one :wacko:.
