Freewheel body removal

Trying to remove 8 speed freewheel body from wheel with 11mm hex key but internal splines are rounded so hex key just turns without turning body. any suggestions gratefully received thanks. 12mm key too big and 10 too small

Freehub body? The bolt is pretty hard. Is it a Shimano one?

My first thought would be to drill the head off it. Should be pretty easy with it being hollow, and once the head is off, you'd be able to pull the free hub body off. The remains of the bolt should wind out easily.

I have no idea whether this is actually possible or whether there is enough access, but I don't see why not. If there is enough access to actually fit the bolt, there should be enough access to drill the head off.
