Freehub woes...

So, new mtb, cannondale, barely put a hundred miles on it yet, noticed some skippy shifting around the middle of the block.

ho hum thinks I, just cable stretch, so Tune and index the gears... problem still persists.

check and tighten the Cassette, problem still persists.

then I notice a wobble in the cassette, loose freehub I think, tighten that, still there though...

so reassemble it all and tighten cassette using torque wrench and the thread strips from the free hub body or lock ring...

great, Just great! so I have a trip the the lbs tomorrow as it sounds like a free hub made of poo, plus my torque wrench is getting sent off for calibration...
The hub is a Shimano mt200, can’t expect a lot I assume, but it’s given me the hump.

fun times, no ride for me tomorrow grrrrr.

Aaaaaaaaaah, no new free hubs available until 26th aug, and qr 141 rear wheels seem to be like hens teeth...
Nooooooo... getting back to cycling was going so well...

New Cannondale MTB, then should still under warranty, If bought local just call the shop and talk nice.
