It was 18 months for the Contador issue to be resolved and the Schlecks have a big footprint in Cycling so it may take a while!

I personally expect FSCL to aquit him and we shall see what UCI do from there!

Inadequate bureaucracy may be the answer : http://inrng.com/2012/11/wednesday-shorts-3/
ALAD as opposed to LCF handling this dontcha know ...?!

This gives us some idea of the difficulties involved in handing WADA responsibility for anti-doping more broadly - in most cases, they'd have to act through national agencies which don't have the capacity. I would suggest that we need some kind of greater transfer of resources from sporting bodies to WADA to remedy this.

In competition testing are federation responsibilities not WADA and/or associated regional bodies. LCF are dodging the bullet of sanctions in addition to recent criticism of UCI passing the buck it seems.

Frank should be released to ride until it has been processed although it is as the article says a straight call! Wonder if ALAD has the bottle to do what is right.

So apparently microdosing is now less unacceptable than old-fashioned forms of doping? Good for all potential cheats out there to know this.

Oh come on guys, Andy also said it wasn't true, that's two fine upstanding young men who are easily able to stay with Alberto [when they are not crashing and losing chains] without resorting to drugs, just like the rest of the peleton who don't want to talk about it cos it doesn't exist anymore.

One yr ban announced today...not really a shock. I think we all saw that coming a mile off. He's still protesting his innocence and using the Contador defence (contaminated food product), and will now miss the 2013 TdF as the backdated ban kicked in from when he tested positive halfway through the 2012 TdF.

He could still do the Vuelta to salvage some of his 2013 season.
